Manisha Bhokse
Manisha Bhokse
Hailing from Pune and an engineer by profession, Manisha came into The Healing Circle trust & Creative School when she was on a quest for the joy and happiness in life. Her longing to become a conscious parent and provide a love-based academic environment for her child made her explore the world of alternative & holistic education. ‘Becoming a teacher is a conscious choice’, she says.
She is the Coordinator and Class Pillar for the Lotus group. She facilitates mathematics, Hindi and handwork. Manisha recalls learning math as a set of facts to be memorized, with rules and procedures to mimic. However at Creative, she explores the “Real Math – as mathematizing and thinking mathematically”. She is excited to relearn & teach math as the relationships among the numbers and structures to solve problems. She also facilitates Hindi classes and thrives in encouraging children to develop love for the vernacular language through innovative ways. Manisha also enjoys arts, handwork, and sports. Through her work, she rediscovered her passion for handwork. Exploring and integrating handwork in curriculums across various age groups is another area Manisha joyfully engages in.
Manisha feels very lucky to be in such a space which caters to the needs of “whole being” at every age! Inspired by the school’s vision, whole child development and recognising that each of us is more than just a physical body, stirred in her awe and respect for both life and education. She feels well supported in the practice of the school’s philosophy bearing through The Sacred Classroom Principles, Four-Step Learning, and Co-creating Sacred.
With practices in spirituality and emotional well-being that have helped her with confidence and compassion, she now helps others come on this path of self-care and self-exploration. She extends her gratitude to Jay, Bash, Reshma, Rathy and Dhivya for providing a space which aids in her personal and professional growth. She is grateful to the rest of the sangha members who have been a great support for her in this journey! She feels divinely blessed!

Gagana N V
Gagana’s first brush with teaching English began as a volunteer at a shelter home, back when she was in Law school. After graduation, she yearned for a simpler life, one that is closer to nature. When she found Bhoomi College offering short courses in sustainable living and holistic education, she took it up wholeheartedly. It was a transformational journey, leading her to find her calling in facilitating learning and growth for children, as well as in investing in her own self growth. Creative school showed up in her journey soon after serendipitously and she dived right into it. And here she is now, constantly evolving both as a teacher and as a parent too. She is presently teaching the Orchid group of children (3rd and 4th grade). In the past, she had also worked as a Class Pillar for the Lotus group of children (5th and 6th grade). She also enjoys editing the Sacred Children Magazine that the school publishes on a regular basis.
Gagana can sense the shifts and the inner clarity and strength that the daily spiritual practices, such as the breathing exercises, affirmations, and fire mediation, is bringing into her life. She is now more sure of herself as a facilitator and educator. She is a firm believer of the adage, “It takes a village to raise a child”, and is glad that she has found both her village and her children at Creative School!
Aside from teaching, she also kindles her love for language by reading and writing poems and other literature, along with hosting poetry and reading circles every now and then.

Saumya S Bhat
Saumya S Bhat
Saumya grew up in Mumbai, a city she respects for its spirit and resilience; in a loving family that gave her the freedom to be herself and stressed on the importance of education.
Being unable to pursue the field of medicine, which was her first choice, she went on to qualify as a dentist. However, after practicing for a few years, she found it too mechanical and monotonous.
Though Science has been her area of interest, she always liked exploring, reading, understanding and learning across subjects.
Her search to find the right school for her daughter led her into homeschooling and the field of alternative education. She completed Montessori pre-primary, elementary and later a special education program with the objective of supporting children with learning disabilities. Her work with children made her realize that learning and evolving with the children is a continuous process and the importance of education in shaping a society.
At Creative school, she currently works with middle and high school children with specific learning requirements and is also a class pillar for the Sunflowers.
She enjoys the process of guiding children to learn through questions and instilling a love for reading and learning. As a teacher, her objective is to help children become aware of their own learning process, assist them in coming up with strategies and taking responsibility for their learning.
Saumya enjoys reading, music, trekking, travelling, painting and practicing yoga.
She feels that she has learnt a lot by observing children and nature, and by joining Creative she has embarked on a journey into a deeper understanding and observation of herself.

Ashwini
Ashwini is qualified with a Masters in Finance(MBA) from Namma Bengaluru. With a background in finance, she started her career in KPMG and worked for 4.5 years as a team leader. Until one fine day, she decided to quit and pursue her dream to become an educator. She had to take a U turn to educate herself as a trained Primary Teacher(PTT) and Montessori Teacher Training(MTT).
She is found coming alive when she is amongst the little children. Children’s innocence and playfulness gives her immense joy, which gets her into discovering true passion, which is ‘Teaching’. A Tamil movie named ‘Pasanga’ has further sparked her journey towards the search for a school emphasizing on ‘Holistic Education’ , which is not of importance in most of the schools.
Her search for such a school came to an end when she came across Creative school which reminded her of the school in the movie ‘Pasanga.’ At that moment she felt, this is the place for her! Thus her Journey at Creative began in the year 2022 as a Class Pillar for the Aster group. Aswini indulges herself in creative work (dancing, drawing, paintings and crafts).
Ashwini says that her journey at Creative, so far, has been a joyful ride with a lot of learnings through her challenges. She endeavors every moment, which allows her to have a beautiful dream like the school that she craved for, as a child. This space has given her enough room to adapt and the Sangha members with unconditional love of great support through her ups and down.

Pushpa Margabandhu
By qualification, Pushpa Margabandhu is a Calcutta University B.Com(Hons) graduate. She completed several software courses after graduation and began her career as a software developer. Having worked for about ten years, Pushpa decided to take a break to care for her family.
She decided to return to work a few years ago, now that her children were becoming independent. But this time, her calling was different. Her strengths were interacting with others, understanding others, and being there for them. She enrolled in a mental health counseling course at Banjara Academy during the pandemic. After its completion, she began interning with Gurukul, a branch at Banjara Academy that specializes in holistic education for children with special needs.
The pandemic helped her realize the importance of mental health and how it affects our children. Her philosophy has always been to address the child as a whole – focusing on physical, emotional, and academic development.
Then came into her life a beacon of light- The Creative School. Her introduction to the school led her to discover that this was a place that focused on a child’s overall development: physical, emotional, and intellectual. Pushpa is now part of their Brahmakamal team.
Pushpa is an avid reader who appreciates books of various genres, such as fiction, philosophy, autobiographies, and so on. She enjoys listening to music and occasionally hums melodies. Working with needles, whether it is for cross stitching, crocheting, or knitting, is her way of unwinding.

Shanmukha Narayana Sai Mohan Munagala
Shanmukha comes with a variety of qualifications, having done a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Aerospace Engineering back in 2019 with a keen interest in studying aerodynamics and aeromodelling. In his final year, his love for understanding the universe and its behavior, and aspirations to pursue a master’s in astrophysics triggered his path towards questioning society and what it’s doing with this beautiful creation.
This made him change his life path and do a fellowship called Gandhi Fellowship where the vision was to work in aspirational districts to support the government teachers and the local education department in various ways possible and better the outcomes for the government schools and the children. This made him even more sensitive to the challenges faced by children, teachers, parents and administrators at different levels of personal and professional life. Wanting to know more about what, why and how education works in India and globally, he pursued the Master of Arts in Education (MA Ed) from Azim Premji University and did a lot of brain and heart-storming on different topics of education and its philosophies. And he found a safe space at creative to explore and experiment with his ideas as well as study and understand the Creative’s way of education.
At Creative, he takes on various roles, such as interacting with students on Global Perspectives, delving into diverse ideas and global issues while appreciating local, national, and personal viewpoints. Additionally, he contributes to the Prajna Vidya outreach program by assisting in organizing, coordinating, and leading workshops for government teachers and educators nationwide. This endeavor allows him to fulfill his aspiration of bolstering the government education sector.
Engaging in self-care practices such as EFT, breathing exercises, and anger management techniques is vital. By participating in self-work, wisdom circles, and various retreats organized by the healing circle, he is delving into the realms of the soul journey, bodily chakras, and holistic education – fulfilling his desire for deeper knowledge and practice.
